What is ADHD?

ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It is a neurodevelopmental disorder that can affect both children and adults. Some common symptoms of ADHD include

1. Distractibility
Difficulty focusing on tasks, being easily distracted, and making careless mistakes

2. Time management / hyper-focus
Restlessness, fidgeting and difficulty staying still

3. Impulsivity
Acting without thinking, interrupting others and difficulty staying still.

4. Forgetfulness
Difficulties with working memory, which can lead to forgetfulness and trouble remembering tasks, appointments or instructions.

ADHD can impact various aspects of a person's life, including school, work, and relationships. It is important to note that ADHD is a medical condition and not simply a result of laziness or lack of discipline.

If you suspect that you or someone you know may have ADHD, it is recommended to consult a healthcare professional for a proper evaluation and diagnosis.
